“Planning is useless, but planning is indispensable.”

This was stated aloud by Dwight Eisenhower just prior to the invasion of Normandy.

No truer words could be spoken today. With the Governors of Massachusetts and Connecticut issuing emergency orders requiring all businesses and organizations that do not provide “COVID-19 Essential Services” to close their physical workplaces from noon March 24th till noon Tuesday April 7th.

TEK Companies are considered an Essential Business aligned with the Critical Manufacturing Sector. Our distribution and fabrication centers service several Critical Infrastructure Sectors including Chemical, Defense, Industrial, Energy, Transportation, BioTech/BioPharm as well as Semiconductor. The complete scope of the Critical Infrastructure Sector can be found at https://www.cisa.gov/critical-infrastructure-sectors. In addition to the information on the CISA.gov website, we have also been contacted by several customers indicating this status.

TEK Companies are dedicated in supporting our customers, suppliers and team members during this time. Our number one priority will remain the health and well-being of our team, while doing whatever possible to service our customers. We have reduced staff in all facilities to help mitigate the spread of this virus. Additionally, we have reduced the hours of operations at our facilities, effective 3/24 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. – however our remote sales teams stand ready to serve our partners from 7:30 a.m. till 5:00 p.m. daily. We will continue to monitor and adhere to the policies set forth by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) along with other government agencies.
